FAQs
Find answers to the most common questions we receive from construction professionals looking to progress their careers.
1. What NVQ levels do you offer?
We provide assessment services for NVQ qualifications from Level 2 through to Level 7, covering all construction disciplines. Level 2 is ideal for operatives looking to formalise their skills, Level 3 for skilled workers and supervisors, Levels 4-5 for supervisory and technical roles, and Levels 6-7 for management and senior leadership positions. We’ll help you identify which level is most appropriate for your current role and career aspirations.
2. How does the assessment process work?
The process is straightforward and flexible. After an initial consultation to confirm the right qualification for you, we’ll assign an experienced assessor who will work with you to plan your assessment schedule. We can conduct assessments on-site at your workplace, or via an online meeting if needed to fit around your work commitments. Your assessor will observe your practical work, review your evidence portfolio, and provide guidance throughout. Once you’ve demonstrated all required competencies, we’ll process your certification through the relevant awarding body.
3. Can I get funding or grants to cover the cost?
Yes! As a CITB Preferred Supplier, we can advise on various funding streams and grants available through the Construction Industry Training Board. Depending on your eligibility, these grants may significantly reduce or even fully cover your training costs. We’ll guide you through the application process and help you understand what funding options are available for your specific situation.
4. How long does it take to complete an NVQ?
The timeframe varies depending on the level of qualification, your existing experience, and how quickly you can gather evidence. Because we conduct our assessments that fit your schedule, you can progress at a pace that works for you. Your assessor will give you a realistic timeframe during your initial consultation based on your specific circumstances.
